"Yaw Yaw" Illustration for Daria Music Animation

 

I painted this illustration for Daria's new animation of her song

"Yaw Yaw Puka Polleracha" a song sung by the kids in the Andes of Peru,

in their Quechua language, in South America.

Amit Ashraf turned the illustration and music into an animated video.

I'm a little late in celebrating! This is the book I started this time last year. Apples apples apples. I must say I was tired of drawing apples when this project was finished. But it was a joy to work on with Colorbridge Books editor Bernette Ford and designer / art director Edie Weinburg for Louise May of Lee & Low publishers! It is always fun working for Bebop Books (an multicultural educational line of books of Lee & Low pub.) with which I illustrated "Ice-Cream Money" a few years back! I hope to work with them again.

This book was illustrated entirely digital in Photoshop.
